Use the Module Manager tool to directly install the extension from the downloaded file, for all extensions that support Module Manager. For vtiger CRM 5.0.4, the Module Manager is not included in the base installation and you need to download and install the vtlib Extension first.
I input the correct username, password, and URL ("http://mydomain.org" also tried "http://mydomain.org/") and I get:
"Couldn't find the CRM System at (http://mydomain.org)"
No matter what I try, I cannot get this to work. Which end-point is it looking for? Do I need to install a .php file on the server? Am I missing something? Thanks.

Where do i have to change the vtiger code in order to sync contact in group? the search function (in the send mail to crm) doesn't work when your contact is in a group.

Custom Fields, Group Sync and Sync for other users, 20 August, 2009
In reference to the other reviews, the Outlook Plugin is capable to sync contacts which are owned by other users or groups, but the vtiger is not ready for it. You may change the vtiger code to get this to work.
The problem with the custom field is a vtiger bug already reported (see bug tracker for a fix).
It is a good start, but until now it is just a .Net clone of the original plugin.
A usefull feature would be for example the search on the CRM after Accounts/Contacts/Meetings not only for the currently logged user but also for the groups the user is assigned to.

Great app but would be extremely useful if you could choose to only sync one way, ie only from vTiger to Outlook or vice versa. My users have a lot of unrelated items in their Outlook Calendars which they do not want synced with vTiger.
