Patches on our Road
October 18th, 2006 by Philip
We’ll be releasing yet another patch by this month end, as we want to fix majority of the bugs reported in 5.0.0 and earlier, before go in for a 5.x release. There are couple of patches ahead.
For this patch we’ll be addressing the issues posted here
Solution has been provided for this issues, in this patch so far.

All the apt feedback given for our 5.0.1 release will has been taken care off.
we have couple of developers who have voluntered for fixes in our patch releases.
Can expect some code revamp and db changes for this release along with fixes.

Philip, thank you for the posting but it is not readable. Your links are overlapping with the blog blocks. Could you post it again?
Balduin,
I have reformated the links in my post.
Philip, I strongly oppose any DB changes until the migration between 4.2. and 5.0 is working. It does not make any sense to introduce a new structure which will introduce, as the experience tells, new problems. Can’t you make a new bug fix release only?
The issues in migration 4.2 to 5.0 will be addressed there and there, and even in this patch release the issue identified for this migration has been fixed. We are doing some ground work in database to have a ui driven module creation, for this we have to generalize all classes and have to come up with a refrence table too. So we have been left out with the option to carry with the db changes. To our level best we’ll try to give a smooth migration.
