Change in 5.0.3 schedule

Earlier we planned to take a month’s time for 5.0.3, but we found out couple of crictial bugs in 5.0.2 and so we have cut short our plan for 5.0.3, so the next is expected by mid next week with fixes for those bugs identified in 5.0.2, we need to keep the bug fixes as low as possible, major focus on this release will be code contirbution given by the community. Till now we have fixed these bugs also the these are list of patches that will be integarated, the code contribution are subject to the condition that it is a fix/patch and not enhancement! we expect more patches/fixes from the community to accomodate in 5.0.3. There will no datbase changes and hence no data migration for this version.

This is certainly the right sprit. As the CRM is a business application it makes a lot of sense to fix existing problems before introducing new features. Please pay attention to every detail. There are many little things to fix which are not really bugs but provide wrong impressions. For instance, look at the home’s cockpit. If you have many or old entries the diagram is not a useful tool. The list can be easily expanded (e.g. PDF output, Script errors in IE, security issues ….). So I hope there will be many 5.0.x releases before you go to 5.1.x
