    Congratulations!!!

This is as big a step for the vtiger team as well as us using vtiger.

This means that the focus can now return (to some extent at least) back to features and that vtiger can continue take market share.

    Sincerely,

    Christer

    Thank You Christer.
    Nice of you.

Yes, every developer is actually itching to have a go at the new features and get over the damned bugs! So, yes, it is freedom at last!

Coming to brasstacks, it seems sourceforge is not able to handle the download traffic and has just gone down :(- !
We will have to wait some more time before all community gets its hands on 5.0.3.

Do keep us posted on how you find 5.0.3 and please, please use the 5.0.3 forum for posting issues pertaining to 5.0.3. This will help in compartmentalizing the issues.

As I told Gopal last week and also emailed him as he requested. The Contact does not show the potentials associated with that contact.

All you have to do is create a potential and then add a contact to it. You can see the associated contact in the potential but you cannot see the potential when you are in the contact looking at associated potentials. How can you still miss this?

    IE7 Suse 10.1 php 5.1

When I created a custom view in contacts and set it to the default view my contact list view is blank. I cannot even set it back to another view because it is blank. I does the same thing in leads. Now I have to go in and modify the database just so I can get a view back. It seems like everywhere I touch it has a new bug that was not in the prior svn code.

Well done to each of you VTigers on the release of 5.0.3.

To Warren Davis - put your sadness on a bug report, because this is probably not the best place for it.

Congratulations!!!Great work and thank you for such a great product and one that is open-source!! I really appreciate all the vtiger staff interaction and involvement in this community, that makes the product all better. Please enjoy some time off with friends and family, sleep, warm fresh food and a normal schedule at least for a week - its well deserved. Agree - if you have a to bug report, please have some tact and post it at vtiger.fosslabs.com.

    Congratulations!!!

Just an idea: How about a ‘vTiger Installation CD’ (.iso image).

    Reason for this suggestion:
I just tried to install vTiger on a fresh Ubuntu 6.06 system (it was mentioned in the forum that this version works fine with 5.0.3). Unfortunately, some dependency issues occured.

To facilitate testing of vTiger even for non-Linux users it would be a good idea to provide an all-inclusive-install-it-and-forget-it-don’t -get-your-running-windows-system-affected-iso-image which can be used to burn a bootable CD. This CD should automatically install Linux (e.g. Ubuntu) on a separate partition of the hard disk (as Ubuntu does) and automatically install Apache, MySQL, PHP and vTiger 5.0.3.

Side effect: a considerable decrease of support questions like ‘Please help: Problem with installing 5.0.3′ in the forum.

Great work guys, I have been looking at vTiger for a while, I think you guys have the best product all around…you truly are honest and open source to the core…
    Thanks….

Congrats! This is huge, my sincerest thanks and best wishes to the entire team!

(Also, instead of all the ISOs and such, consider an official Vtiger VMware appliance. Just for the future..)

Now go take some vacation! : )

Could someone help a neophyte with a question? Do I need to uninstall the beta version RC2 before installing this stable one, or can I install right over it? Will my custom field and picklists be overwritten or preserved? THanks,
    Greg
