Here is a PR from Sourceforge about Community Choice Awards 2007.

Open Source Community Honors Its Best and Brightest

Ross Turk, SourceForge.net Community Manager says “These awards represent community recognition at its purest. It’s another way that we nourish great open source projects. More awareness in the community leads to more users, more contributors, and ultimately, better code. It’s also, incidentally, a fun little evening in Portland with free drinks and food and some surprising prizes.”

Thanks,
Gopal
