Update: Release Schedule

The 5.0.4 release is now postponed to the middle of November. We fixed a SOAP related security issue that was recently identified by our community members (thank you Sebastien Kummer & Mirko Ross) . In addition, we identified some database related issues that could affect the functionality, which required a shift to PreparedStatements. Because of the critical nature of these fixes, we are repeating the validation testing cycle.

Our goal is to release a stable 5.0.4, and we would like to request your help in the validation process (a new validation build will be put up shortly). I would like to thank the community members who have moved fast to update the language packs for 5.0.4.

Because of the delay, 5.1 release has been postponed to February. We are excited about a bunch of feature enhancements that are planned to be rolled out in 5.1. I hope to communicate more details about 5.1 features soon after 5.0.4 is released.

    Thanks for the update svk.

Will the blank screen after log-in on older PHP version be solved when released?

Any vague idea, when the validation will be completed? I mean, is it rather a question of days or weeks now?

MTC, validation will take 2 weeks time. We have started this round of validation this week.

Ken, we will respond to your question shortly.

When you go to Schedule and try to repeat the same events and select months. The only choices you have is the first and last. There is no second and third choice. Thus, I cannot select the second or third week of any month. I hope this is corrected in your updates.

    Hi Guys,

Do you have a release date for 5.0.4 yet by any chance?

  8. on 16 Nov 2007 at 5:52 pm Sreenivas Kanumuru

We hoped to put out the release this week, but because of issues we identified during internal testing, we had to postpone it. We have addressed most of the critical issues, and will be commiting the code to the SVN in the next couple of days.

We will be putting out a validation build next week, and then hope to put out the final release in a couple of weeks time.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Me too, would love to work on 5.0.4 over the xmas break.

Same here, I would have the time over christmas holidays…

I would like to see the release before that, even if there are some minor bugs to close afterwards. Software will never be bug free, at least I don’t expact that!
