I agree, thanks for the info.

I do think that in the future you should have some other way of letting people know how long the next release will be.

Something like saying it is earmarked to be out in june, but then having something like the roadmap graph (in trac) somewhere prominent so you can see when it gets nearer the date how likely that is going to be.

Hi Prasad,

I would definitely like to use the latest SVN.
But can I upgrade from the latest SVN to 5.0.4 GA, later?

Du you think that the MYSQL tables need to be changed again?

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Confirming whether table changes will be added during our development is difficult. Henceforth we recommend not to use the SVN code directly on production.

On every checkout perform installation and continue testing.

Prasad

Hello Prasad,

Thank you Vtigers for the UTF-8 support, you are doing a great job.

When viewing FDFs with Hebrew text (tested with latest 5.04 demo server), it showing “ןונמא ןיקפיל” instead of “אמנון ליפקין”.

probably it’s the same with Arabic and Persian languages.

Thanks, Guy.

Hi all, and congratulations on the progress of 504.

I have a problem and wondered if anyone else had seen it. When I go to the webmail client I get the error "Please enable the IMAP support in php to run this module"

My ISP assures me IMAP is enabled, has anyone seen this?

I've been experiencing a number of difficulties since the upgrade from mail template merges to importing and exporting contacts. Today I couldn't copy a simple note in the description field or change something in a field without an alert popping up that said "please enter a valid email" - TOTALY UNRELATED.

Am I the only one experiencing these things?

How much longer for the 5.0.4 GA release??

Thank you.

Can someone please advise me whether it would be better to start with 5.0.3 or 5.0.4RC (preferred) for a production system taking into consideration that I would like a hassle free upgrade when the GA is released?

Also if there is any update on the GA release date (sorry) I would love to know.

Hi Scott,

I would recommend you to wait for vtiger 5.0.4 GA and take it to production.

We completed the bug fixing yesterday addressing the migration issues and UTF-8 related issues with previous validation. At present, I don't have a final date for release. We will keep you posted on that soon.

Prasad

Hi Prasad,

Why are you ignoring the Hebrew problem?
It's the second time I'm writing regarding this.
For your convenient, here is the third time:

When viewing FDFs with Hebrew text (tested with latest 5.04 demo server), it showing “ןונמא ןיקפיל” instead of “אמנון ליפקין”.

probably it’s the same with Arabic and Persian languages.

Thanks, Guy.

Now here is a stupid question.... How can I log in on the http://en.vtiger.com/wip, so I can test and see your changes so far? I sent a looong list 2 weeks back with bugs etc...

Since I admitted it was (probably) a stupid question, I don't want any stupid answers, hehe;-)

Hi,

Probably the most annoying question for the developers will follow ....

How long before the vtiger 5.14 GA is out?
few days? 2 weeks? 1 Month? 2 moths?

I only asked once before way back last year in December, and I cannot wait for the GA release.

Many thanks for all the developers for all your hard work.

Regards
Jom

Hi, i wonder if anyone knows which is the ticket and if there's some workaround for this problem:

When a meeting or event is created with a duration longer than 1 hour (2, 3 hours for example) it's shown with a 1 hour only duration at the weekly view.

I know this is reported but i'm wondering if anyone ha found a workaround or something.

i've checked at the wip and the problem is there.

Thanks a lot for your efforts.

Guys, we need an update. Even if it says, hey, no update is available. We feel that 5.0.4 is a necessary update and need a reasonable timeline to plan.

Please, pretty please.

New month same story? Yes, it would be interesting to know whether there's something new, like a planned release date...
