Hi Vtiger-Team,
thanks for the great enhancement!
vtiger is getting better and better!
Bye,
TOm
Nice add-on! This will come in handy for mass updating of the closing date for expired potentials.
I’m not psychic and finding it really hard to find any kind of instruction on how to install this - I’ve tried to just extract it into the website structure and it seems to need more than that… Any chance someone could tell me what I need to do to activate this bad boy?
Thanks
Hi Matt,
Just unpack the vquickedit zip into your vtigercrm installation (apache/htdocs/vtigerCRM) parallel to index.php
You should see the changes in Listview of the module.
If not make sure to delete *.tpl.php files from your Smarty/templates_c directory.
Hope you get it working.

Prasad

will vquickedit be included in the 5.1 release?
Hi Steven,
Multiple record update feature is planned for 5.1 which will be extended version than vquickedit. Our team is currently busy designing it now.

Hi Prasad,
I’m already salivating at the thought of this. However, I’m receiving an error when I click the Quick Edit button. (Also this doesn’t work at all in Firefox FYI):
Warning: require_once(modules/HelpDesk/QuickEdit.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Program Files\vtigercrm5\apache\htdocs\vtigerCRM\include\Ajax\CommonAjax.php on line 12Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'modules/HelpDesk/QuickEdit.php' (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in D:\Program Files\vtigercrm5\apache\htdocs\vtigerCRM\include\Ajax\CommonAjax.php on line 12
Scratch previous post. 1.0 didn’t work, but 1.1 works fine. This still does not work in Firefox however.
Hi bmolly,
Give a shot after clearing the cache in Firefox browser.

Do I need to manually place each of the files from the .zip to each of the corresponding sub-directories? e.g. Copy the items from the folder called include to the corresponding folder called include in the vTiger directory?
Then do I need to restart vTiger in order for the changes to appear?
- BT
I needed to add each of the files to their corresponding sub-directory.

Hi,
I like quick edit a lot and it seems to work fine, only found one bug , if you mass edit mail opt out you can’t edit it back because the box is not ticked when you edit through quick edit,
another question is it possible that I can enable quick edit for tasks with some changes to the code?
Hi Prasad,
I like the idea of QuickEdit but I can’t get it to work.
I have unpacked the files in 1.1 and put them in the same path as they show in the unzip screen for
Include
Modules
Smarty
I have closed Firefox and restarted but no QuickEdit button comes up.
I have tried with IE and the same result.
Cheers
Bernard
BTW, can you respond to my other recent posts?
Hi Bernard,
Did you try deleting Smarty/template_c/*.tpl.php files?
