    Looks great in Firefox on the desktop. I tried it on a blackberry, with Opera mini I get error 400 bad command but with the blackberry browser it works quite well. only issue so far is that the blackberry doesn’t understand the callto: protocol, it like to see tel: before phone numbers.

    Love the module, not displaying 100% on blackberry curve, but great additional module, would like the ability to create or edit a support ticket.

    Thanks

    Congratulations and thank you for a much needed addition to the already wonderful vTiger. I was wondering if any other functionality is planned for the module (i.e. lead conversion, etc.). Right now it seems only functional for viewing records, unless I am missing something.

    Thanks.

    Excellent work - very useful for sales reps on the road. One question - would it be possible to have the option to add new orders, quotes and notes from the mobile extension?

  12. on 01 Aug 2009 at 6:27 am Prasad

    @Francisco,

    User button does not have any specific function right now, but will be implemented going forward.

  13. on 01 Aug 2009 at 6:28 am Prasad

    @Cecilio,

    There is some cleanup task involved before adding translation support for other languages, hoping to achieve it soon.

    @Steven,

    Hoping to see community contribution for themes/skin (modules/Mobile/resources/skins) that suits different mobiles :)

    Dear All,

    Installed the mobile module and the installation completely successfully. However, upon visiting our URL http://ourdomain.com/modules/Mobile, I receive the following error:

    Internal Server Error
    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@mislcrm.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Any idea on what might be causing this?

    Regards,
    Omar

    Very nice extension. I tested it with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. The CRM entries were displayed very small (320×240?) and hard to read. Did I anything wrong or does this not adapt to the screen resolution?

  22. on 03 Aug 2009 at 3:39 am Prasad

    @Balduin,

    Did you carry the testing on mobile or desktop?

    Prasad, I used an HTC mobile device.

    @Balduin,

    Haven’t had much chance to play with HTC mobile, if you can share the screenshot it will be good.

    Unfortunately I do get also the same error:

    Internal Server Error
    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Do You have any ideas?

  26. on 03 Aug 2009 at 2:54 pm Robert

    Hey guys!
    Looks like a great addition.
    Unfortunately, I am getting the same 500 error as Geza and Omar. Tried it on both my vTiger 5.1 installations.
    Any advice?
    Robert

  27. on 03 Aug 2009 at 4:28 pm Fon

    Also getting the 500 error.

    Window installation seems to work fine.

    Linux installation is where I am having the problem.

    Thanks in advance!

  28. on 04 Aug 2009 at 5:59 am Bryan S

    I get the same as the others while using it in a linux environment w/ 5.1.0

    @Robert, thank you for providing the server access.

    Noticed the following message in the Apache error log:

    File does not exist: /home/xyz/public_html/500.shtml

    After removing write access to Group and Others on the folder modules/Mobile and file modules/Mobile/index.php

    This is pretty nice. Does what we need for it to do, so we’re gonna customize the CSS for use with our Blackberry phones.

    Thanks!

    Module works great, running on a Windows server and accessing it via Windows Mobile device. One question is whether there are plans to allow editing/adding items (calendar, trouble tickets, etc.).

    Also, numbers on contact/account records are highlighted but just get an error message when clicking on them. Any way to allow those to initiate a call?

  33. on 04 Aug 2009 at 8:52 pm Prasad

    @Jamaai,

    Share the CSS if you get it working for Blackberry.

    Hello,

    thanks for your work.

    In the contact detail view, the account name is a number like this 3×305, so I can’t see the name and have a link on it.

    Den’s comment appears to be impacting many of the “Related To” values.

    Thanks in advance for the help.

  37. on 17 Aug 2009 at 9:39 pm Prasad

    @den,

    The information captured for some module fields by webservice has gone wrong hence you are seeing the reference values.

    It will be fixed going forward.

    Im curious, im not familiar with iPhone app development whatsoever, but how difficult would it be to create an application wrapper for the mobile extension? like where basically there is an option in the settings menu for entering your crm url, then the front end is basically a stripped down browser with no url bar, etc..

    Yes we could create a launchable bookmark but its uhmm tacky… where as this solution could be more closer to proprietary..

    just my two cents :) otherwise, really great addon!

    I have manually had to install this module since my host is running in PHP Safe Mode = on.

    Im getting the following error;

    Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: “modules/Mobile/generic/Login.tpl” in /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.co.uk/httpdocs/crm/Smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

    Does anyone have any suggestions what could be wrong

  54. on 08 Jul 2010 at 9:21 am Prasad

    @Adam,

    Check if you have files under Smarty/templates/modules/Mobile directory. You can find these files in the templates/ folder of Mobile package (zip)
