    We have been using Vtiger for nearly two years now in our small 3 man business. First as a simple customer data base, then for quotes, and now for invoicing and purchasing. This software has amazing capabilities and has been a great asset!!

    What does it need? To help a businesses further there needs to be an extended function for the shipping and receiving department. We need to be able to acknowledge receipt of goods (completion of the purchasing process), and shipping documentation (acknowledgment of goods shipped, produce a packing slip, and a shipping label … from the invoice data). The addition of a metric for days taken from receipt of order until day shipped. Possible measure when invoice is paid would be fantastic (allowing outstanding accounts to be identified)! Then it would be even better!

    @Ted,

    Thanks for your time in writing the review (hope you posted it on sourceforge.net too)

    In the upcoming version (5.2.0) field formula function support is enhanced with time_diff* which could be used to achieve calculation of diff time (using date fields).

    With a little custom coding it should be possible to achieve notification to outstanding accounts when invoice is paid.
