Faster Vtiger CRM Page Load Times for South East Asian Customers

We just kicked page load speeds for new Vtiger CRM users in and around India up to a 10.

As of last week, new user accounts across parts of South East Asia received a significant upgrade to their Vtiger CRM page load times – from anywhere between 0.2 to 0.8 seconds per page loaded. The improvement was made possible by the deployment of a new set of servers in India, a country selected because of the significant growth we’ve experienced in the region over the last year. When in the best interest of load times, new users in nearby countries will also be served from these servers, while existing customers will be moved over to the new servers and will see the same speed improvements toward the end of July.

While fractions of a second don’t sound like much – studies show that such improvements have a profound effect on how people react to the software experience. Case in point – a study by Akamai and Gomez.com has shown that 40% of people abandon a page when load times exceed 3 seconds, and for every 1 second of additional delay, there is a 7% decrease in conversion rate. People hate waiting – and we don’t blame them. By improving load times, we hope that we make Vtiger CRM a much happier place for you to spend your day.
