Selling is hard. As a Sales rep, it is not enough to just know your product or service and understand your customer needs. You have to keep track of market trends, know your competition, and understand how your existing customers have benefitted from your product (read success stories, speak to clients). 

Sales reps have to be at the top of their game to convince clients about the value of the product/service, handle objections, and close deals. 

There is little room for error in sales.

As customers, it doesn’t take us long to smell mediocrity when a poorly informed sales person is pitching to us. We also recognize easily when we encounter a good one. A sales rep who not only understands the product but has deeper knowledge that you are expecting.  

Sales also has high churn due to the pressure of quotas, which means the job of imparting this knowledge is a repetitive thing. 

How do you gear up a new sales rep with all the necessary knowledge? 

New age sales tools are attempting to address this through different and disjointed means:

  1. Embedding features of a Learning Management System to make Sales Onboarding easier. 
  2. Conversations Analysis to do voice analysis and NLP on calls and emails to do continuous coaching.
  3. Gamification to make learning fun.

Channel-less CRM for communication!

It is April 2022 - and the world has not returned to its pre-pandemic state of doing business in the offline mode. Many businesses have moved online. Sales and support teams are increasingly using the convenience of the tools on their computers to connect with customers.

Replies to @Mention notifications from Gmail.

I use this feature frequently in my day-to-day collaboration with my team and also other teams. This feature helps me respond quickly to the mentions on the go without having to use the Web Interface or the Mobile App. 

Another advantage is, that it shows the chain of replies to the parent notification which in some cases, helps to view and understand the context from the same view.
