Speed up your RFP Responses with Calculus AI for Sheets

Sales teams spend hours, if not days, crafting thoughtful responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and proposals. 

Many of the questions in an RFP related to features, processes, and certifications are answered from an internal Knowledge Base or an internal answer bank that someone is curating. Many queries, including those related to non-functional requirements, are similar across RFPs.

Companies — especially in sales and pre-sales — use spreadsheets as a staging area to collect, organize, and collaborate on responses to RFPs before finalizing them in a document. Embedding AI in Sheets helps with providing suggestions, common answers, or looking up data on Knowledge Bases.

With our new Add-on, you can now access Calculus AI from inside Sheets to auto-generate answers from the AI model that is trained on your Knowledge Base. Get high-quality AI-generated content—right where you work. No copy-pasting. No app-switching.

Enhancements

  • Audit & Service Templates - You now have a new question type, Star Rating, that will display 5 stars by default when added to the template. This option is available in the Question block and will let users rate audits, services, or content using a 5-star scale. 
  • Delivery Notes - You can add more products to a Delivery Note - products that are not listed in the original Sales Order. This will help you deliver multiple products from different Sales Orders in the same Delivery Note.

Email Authentication for Bulk Senders

As someone from the IT Operations team at Vtiger CRM, I’ve seen firsthand how email deliverability can become a major issue. 

Here is a common problem - if you haven’t authenticated email domains, then your emails get flagged as spam or blocked entirely. This can be frustrating as it may affect your marketing campaigns, messaging, etc. 

This is a recurring problem reported by many customers who have integrated Vtiger CRM with service providers like Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft, or Apple iCloud Mail, and send high volumes of email (5,000+ per day).

The good news is, we do have a solution: domain authentication. You need to authenticate your domain with the following:

  • CNAME - CNAME records increase the deliverability
  • SPF – Verifies sender IPs
  • DKIM – Ensures message integrity
  • DMARC – Protects against spoofing

Benefits: 

By authenticating your sending domain, you can:

  • Continue sending emails via Vtiger CRM. 
  • Significantly improve email delivery rates.
  • Reduce support issues related to bounced or undelivered emails. 
  • Prevent spoofing & phishing.
  • Protect your brand reputation.
  • Build recipient trust.

Note: Starting February 2024 (for Gmail/Yahoo) and May 2025 (for Microsoft), bulk email senders must meet strict authentication requirements—or risk getting blocked, rate-limited, or landing in the spam folder.
