Enhance the productivity of your field sales reps

- From the CEO’s Desk

At Vtiger, we firmly believe that CRM should solve big-impact problems. While discussing with our customers, we discovered that while we do a good job of solving inside sales challenges, field sales are not very easily managed.

Field Sales professionals are the backbone of industries like Apparel, Consumer Durables, and Consumer Processed Goods (CPG). It takes a complex, well-orchestrated order-to-supply-returns chain to get those chip packets into stores and refresh them. Disconnected tools, manual entries, and updation of order data over calls lead to incorrect order bookings, revenue loss, supply chain issues, and dissatisfaction at all levels in the supply chain.

My team took on the challenge of solving this problem in Vtiger a few months back. And we did it entirely using our low-code platform VTAP. I am excited to announce that we now have full-fledged field sales capabilities in Vtiger CRM and a dedicated mobile application. If you have a field sales team, you absolutely need this.

In the section below, you will find a brief overview of our product capabilities.

Happy Selling!

Vtiger’s new purpose-built Field Sales Add-on aims to solve the challenges faced by field sales reps by providing necessary tools to manage sales activities efficiently while working remotely.

It offers field sales reps an easy way to execute their routes, take orders, and provide feedback for businesses. Supervisors can create optimal beat plans, which automatically create routes for the sales rep. Beat plans can also be set as recurring at scheduled intervals (for example, every Monday).

The add-on includes a new mobile app built specifically for field sales reps of CPG companies. When a user opens the app, it displays the route for the day. Sales reps can start the route and navigate to the first store. The app automatically checks in when the rep is within the geo-fence radius of the store. Reps can take orders easily, view outstanding invoices, do surveys, do audits (take live pictures or videos showing product placements, etc.), and get signatures on orders. If reps find new stores on the route, they can add them to the system. Reps can spend more time with the staff instead of doing administrative work or losing time on the road on suboptimal routes.

For management and supervisors, the Field Sales Add-on provides insights via Order Analytics and Visit Analytics. They can see poorly performing stores and view the product placement in those stores (through audit data), and analyze reasons.

Field Sales App is built on VTAP and can be accessed via the Vtiger CRM Mobile app (available on iOS and Android stores).

Field Sales Add-on is available in One Professional and One Enterprise for a fee of $250 per instance. To learn more, please click here.

AI in a CRM

The latest buzzword in technology is Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is being incorporated into more and more software applications every day. AI tells you what to shop for, how to write, which route will be best to take, and so on!

The integration of AI features in CRM systems has grown in recent years. AI-based systems use algorithms to analyze data, identify patterns, forecast trends, and predict potential outcomes. They help you to learn about customer preferences, interpret their behavior, and identify potential sales opportunities. AI-generated data is also used to track employee performances across the organization - from sales to customer support teams.

AI-generated data can aid you in two ways:

  • Create targeted and personalized marketing and sales strategies.
  • Train your employees to build a loyal customer base by providing enhanced customer experiences.

AI-integrated CRMs can provide the following features:

  • Lead Scoring and Qualification
  • Predictive Analytics
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Sentiment Analysis
  • Workflow Automation
  • Recommendation Engines

CRMs will incorporate more such AI-driven features in the future. AI-powered functionalities will extend the capabilities of CRM systems. They will empower you with tools that can optimize your business strategies and boost your ROI.

Vtiger CRM has its own AI feature - Calculus AI. It empowers you with conversation analysis, recommendations on the next best actions, and intelligent nudges.

Vtiger One powered by Calculus AI + GPT helps your Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service teams to work smart and deliver exceptional customer delight.

List View – Filters

It is difficult to analyze voluminous amounts of data. We need a tool to increase user interactivity with their data outside of surface-level, 'at-a-glance' analysis. We also need a tool to help us generate reports showing only the filtered data.

The Filters feature in the List View helps us display and analyze only the data required for specific tasks or projects. Other aspects of Filters are the following:

  • Flexibility of setting the default filter - You can set any filter default at any time based on the requirements.
  • Sharing the filter - You can create different filters for different use cases. You can share them with other CRM users with specific privileges for each individual (edit or view access).

Conclusion - Data presentation (readability) and efficiency in analyzing data is easy with Filters in List View
