The challenges I/We face with vtiger are
a1) Ensuring vtiger community is well respected and based on mutual respect
a) Making vtiger a truly global community
b) Giving unparalleled service to the customers
c) Giving an unparalleled experience with vtiger product in terms of L&F, usability
d) Identify/Nurture leaders in the community
e) Ensuring that vtiger maintains its momentum but at the same time tries to fit in with the general release cycles that other products have
f) vtiger roadmap keeping in mind that bloat should not occur
g) providing points of interaction with other software without making vtiger a beast
h) easier customizability of the product to cater to multiple verticals
i) ensure that people, and not money, are the prime focus
j) ensure that vtiger is a wealth-creator
k) ensure that I be a good human being (this is I guess the most difficult)
l) ensure there is no flaming in the forums so that even the newest guy can feel at home without fear of ridicule or anything else
m) ensure vtiger is fun
