January 2013 – Update 1 – Customize Labels, Track Payments, and More!
Happy 2013, everyone! In line with our new bi-monthly update schedule, we’re pleased to announce our first update of 2013, which introduces the following enhancements alongside numerous other bug fixes and minor enhancements: Customize fields, tabs, and other labels: Admin users can now customize any field label in Vtiger by going to the “All” menu item and finding the Label Editor under the Tools category. Invoice and P.O. payment tracking: Track invoice and purchase order payments using the new payments module. New fields in Invoice and P.Os are used to track paid amounts and remaining balances. These fields update automatically when changes are input. Improved search: Perform quicker module-level searches directly from the search bar. List views now also include alphabet-based search. Custom lists on the dashboard: Create custom lists (i.e. open tickets, opportunities, top leads, etc.) from the “Add Widget” menu on the dashboard. Default record views: Set the default record view (summary view or detailed view) from the My Preferences page. *Correction – We weren’t able to complete testing in time to release the Google Calendar and Contact integration. I somehow missed the internal memo on this. Hopefully this gives you an idea of how close it is to being released! Other minor enhancements and bug fixes were also included in this update.
