We are happy to announce a special event for commemorating the launch of a vtiger CRM solutions network, and the opening of the new office of Studio Synthesis, at Via P.Beretta, 10, Gardone V.T. (BS - Italy).

We are creating a network of highly qualified companies and professionals, who offer solutions for customer relationship management (CRM) and business processes management (BPM) using vtiger CRM as a software base.

As the base of our solutions, we find a version of vtiger CRM continuously updated, full of additional features, completely adapted to local countries markets (Italian, Spanish, …)

As a support to the software platform, we provides hosting, assistance, development, training and certification services, along with solutions for vertical markets.

The event will take place on Thursday, the 21st of January. For information, visit our website or call (+39)030/8336089.

We look forward to meeting you in our continous effort of converting vtiger CRM in one of the best open source CRMs that exists.

The event was very interesting, as they usually are. There was a mix of vtiger CRM business and end users sharing their problems and showing off their solutions. It is surprising to see how many vtiger CRM developers and users have similar problems but come up with diverse solutions. Every time I go to these events I learn things, not only of how others are using and adapting the platform (some things are really incredible!), but also how to adapt and use my own extensions in ways I hadn’t thought of. Another very important aspect of these events is to tap in to how the community is feeling about vtiger CRM, comments on the product road map, things that are weak and needing or simply questions about many parts of the application or of vtiger philosophy in itself.

It is always interesting to see the “outside” talk and conversations where people are learning how to solve their problems with solutions or different points of view from other users.

I think these events are very important. I have been to three of these events which I would dare to name (with community permission) as vtiger-day. I mean joomla, php, sugarcrm and others have their day, so I guess we should have ours also. All three have been productive, they kind of take you away from the day to day troubles that don’t let you see the “big picture” and teach you how powerful networking can be.

I think that vtiger should actively promote these events. They would help vtiger get in touch with the community and make vtiger CRM a more popular product. We should have one of these events a year (at least) and in different places of the world (so we have a good excuse to travel). I think that these events would be the place to have a meeting with the partners, so we can set lines of action and rules that would benefit us all, so we could all act in the same line and not each one of us in different positions. Vtiger would have a space to communicate with it’s partners in the sense of explaining their worries and receiving first hand information of our worries, in an intent of sending a consistent and uniform message to the community and business users of the product without losing the particularities of each business model, which makes the community offer so powerful.

I think that vtiger has a significant user base to do this. The local partners in each place can help in the organization and vtiger can do merchandising or other promotional efforts (and travel).

I don’t know if this is good idea or not. I do know that all the events I have attended were very interesting for me (not only vtiger-day events) and (I think) for most of the people that attended.

Now that a re-read the post I notice that there are a lot of “I think”s, so take this as my opinion for what it is worth :-)

    Regards

How about a meeting in India?

  7. on 12 Feb 2010 at 12:51 am Joe Bordes

Sounds good to me. It is kind of far for me, but I would be happy to see the event happening regularly and be able to attend most of them.

Frankly, its the time constraint that limits us attending the get-together, specially when it involves flying :(. Well, this should not stand as a limitation in getting the events being held.

We definitely enjoy “vtiger day every day” at workplace, and would like to see initiatives being taken by vtiger Members (Community, Partner, Integrators, Developers, Users …) in organizing the events world-wide with the theme of “spread the word vtiger”. This will help in expanding the boundary of ownership and raise in energy levels both in terms of learning and organizing. Hope you are with me on this.

These were few thoughts that ran in my mind, Please take it in the right sense and do not feel de-motivated.

Keep us posted about any events.

It would be our pleasure to participate in the events either in-person (if it fits our time frame) or via video-conference (hopefully all the time :))

    Regards,
    Prasad

The vtiger CRM solutions network sounds like it would be a great addition to my business! I am interested in an open source CRM. I am sorry I missed the meeting but will check back regularly to keep in touch.

The network is a good idea, you can tap into the knowledge and experience of other professionals that are already facing and overcoming implementation hurdles. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
