Does Vtiger use encryption?
All data transferred between your browser and Vtiger’s servers are secured with industry standard TLS 1.2/1.3. This includes webapps, API, mobile Apps and IMAP/POP/SMTP email client access. To know more about encryption visit Security overview.
Does Vtiger incorporate security into its software development lifecycle (SDLC)?
Engineering teams follow secure coding guidelines, as well as manual review/ screening of the code before it is deployed in the production.

How often does Vtiger release updates?
Vtiger Cloud is updated monthly with new features and bug fixes. Updates are deployed on the last Saturday of the month during non peak hours and may result in a disruption of under 1 hour during that time. Clients will be notified prior to maintenance via status page with maintenance schedule.
How often is data backed up?
Vtiger takes database and file backups of every customer instance every day. This backup is stored on a separate server to protect against the risk of hardware failure. In the case of such a failure, data and service access can be restored within 8 hours.
Where is my data stored?
Vtiger’s servers are located in the United States, European Union (Ireland, Frankfurt), Australia, Singapore, Japan and India. The server on which your data is stored depends upon the region in which you are located at the time at which you start your free Vtiger trial.
How long does Vtiger keep the data if we cancel our account?
For trial accounts that do not start a paid subscription, data are deleted 12 days after the trial ends. For paid accounts that are canceled, data are deleted 90 days after the account’s cancellation date. For paid accounts that have a payment failure, the account will be suspended within 15 days, and closed after 90 days. All data will be deleted 1 week after account closure. For free accounts, data are deleted after 60 days of account inactivity.
How can I export data out of the system?
Administrators and Users can export data from each module via CSV file, using the built in export tool. Upon request, Vtiger can provide complete SQL database exports and complete document exports, each for a $50 fee. This fee is waived for one SQL backup every 6 months."
Are physical security protections in place to protect my data?
Vtiger's infrastructure providers include platforms (like AWS, DigitalOcean, OVH ) cloud ISPs are responsible to secure the assets and maintain proper security controls. Besides this our offices are fully secured and monitored by security personals and CCTV cameras. Access control is regulated with Biometric and Keycards.
Who maintains the data ownership?
Your client information is 100% yours. No one else can see it, or use it. And when you leave, you take your data with you. Be sure to keep your login information private and secure.
What is the uptime of services offered by Vtiger?
